Royal Ballet School Junior Associates

We are incredibly proud that five dancers from Buzz Dance Company were successful in gaining places on the prestigious Royal Ballet School Junior Associate Programme.

Nellie, Elijah and Nyla will begin in-person training in September, while Amelia and Lola have secured places on the Junior Associate Online Programme.

The Royal Ballet School Junior Associate Programme offers talented young dancers the opportunity to train alongside their regular dance education, developing their classical ballet technique, artistry and musicality under the guidance of world-class faculty.

We are delighted to see our dancers recognised for their hard work, commitment and potential, and we look forward to following their journeys as they continue to develop.

Chance to Dance Legacy Company

Eight dancers from Buzz Dance Company were successfully selected through audition to join the Chance to Dance Legacy Company for the North East.

Over two intensive rehearsal weekends, they worked alongside Royal Ballet and Opera Lead Artist Liz Foster and the North East Associate Artists to create a new contemporary work inspired by the ballet Giselle. The experience challenged the dancers creatively, developing their artistry, collaboration and performance skills while working as part of a regional company.

In June 2026, the dancers performed their new work at the Royal Opera House in London as part of the Chance to Dance programme. It was an unforgettable experience and a proud moment for everyone at Buzz Dance Company, showcasing the talent, commitment and dedication of our young dancers on one of the world's most iconic stages.
