Congratulations Emma

We’re so proud to share that our very own Emma, Artistic Director of Buzz Dance Company, has been appointed as the North East Area Coordinator for the Royal Ballet and Opera's Chance to Dance programme.

Chance to Dance has been running for over 30 years, working to make ballet accessible to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity. The programme partners with primary schools and communities across the UK, offering workshops, performances and pathways that build confidence, spark creativity and open doors to the arts.

Emma has been involved with Chance to Dance for the past 3 years as an Associate Artist, and has seen first-hand the life-changing impact it has on children and families. In her new role as Area Coordinator, she will coordinate this important work here in the North East, supporting schools, artists and communities.

We couldn’t be prouder of Emma as she takes on this inspiring role while continuing to grow and lead Buzz. 🌟
