First Steps (2.5-4)

Our preschool First Steps classes give our youngest dancers an introduction to the elements of ballet via character exploration and storytelling. In turn they will improve coordination, balance, flexibility and communication skills. From age 3 years dancers are given the opportunity to take rosette examinations with the I.D.T.A. 

 

 

Popsteps (2.5-4)

Popsteps offers preschool dancers the chance to express themselves through movements and learn to dance to their favourite pop tunes! From age 3 years dancers are given the opportunity to take rosette examinations with the I.D.T.A

 

First Steps (4-6)

 

First Steps is a combination class of ballet and theatre dance for little dancers age 4-6 years old. Dancers will take what they have learned from preschool First Steps, progressing it by learning basic ballet and theatre steps and terminology. Dancers are given the opportunity to take rosette examinations with the I.D.T.A. 

 

 

Popsteps (4-6)

If your child has lots of energy then this class is for them! A fun class for little dancers age

4-6 years old. Dancers take part in warm-ups and exercises and learn full routines to the latest pop-songs. Popsteps is fast, fun and furious - learn it and you will never sit still again when your favouaite pop tune comes on! Dancers are given the opportunity to take rosette examinations with the I.D.T.A. 

 

 

Musical Theatre (4-6)

A very theatrical class! In musical theatre students study dance, acting and singing and all three elements are brought together for performances. Performers are given the opportunity to take part in musical theatre rosette examination with the I.D.T.A

 

Ballet (7-11)

From the age of 7 upwards dancers will begin to have a much stronger understanding of what ballet is about. Whether just for pleasure or the 'more serious minded', Ballet classes will offer something for everyone as they continue on their dance journey.  Dancers are given the opportunity to take part in I.D.T.A grade examinations to show their progression.

 

Theatre & Tap (7-11)

This is a combination class in which dancers look at the technique of theatre craft and tap dancing.

In theatre craft, dancers study the technique needed for the theatre shows, musicals and pantomimes. In tap, dancers look at rhythms and footwork. Dancers are given the opportunity to take part in I.D.T.A grade examinations to show their progression.

 

Lyrical (7-11)

Lyrical dance is a very emotive form of dance. Dancers learn routines to music that allows them to express themselves and emotions.

 

Pointe (11-13)

 

 

Dancers at this age who have enough experience and strength may join our Ballet Point Class.

 

Popsteps (7-11)

Dancers are given the opportunity to take part in freestyle medal tests with the I.D.T.A

Mini Company (7-11)

Mini company is for our most dedicated dancers. Dancers tudy in advanced stretching, conditioning and fitness. Learn tricks, turns and leaps and learn advanced choreography. Please note Mini Company is not an open class there are prerequisites to join.

Dancers learn set work from the I.D.T.A theatre dance syllabus and routines from West End and Broadway shows. Dancers are given the opportunity to take part in I.D.T.A grade examinations to show their progression.

 

Tap (11+)

 

 

Dancers ahe 11+ can advance their tap skills from their previous level and work on grade examinations in Tap with the I.D.T.A

 

Freestyle (11-13)

 

 

Freestyle is a modern and expressive style of dance. Classes incorporate stretch and fitness and learning new routines. Dances can be fast or slow allowing dancers of all ages to use freedom of expression to enhance their style. Dancers are given the opportunity to take part in freestyle medal tests with the I.D.T.A

 

Commercial (11+)

 

 

This is one of the most popular dance styles in the World at present! Dancers learn routines inspired by music videos.

Company (11+)

 

 

Our company programme is our gifted and talented programme for our most dedicated dancers. Dancers take part in their technique classes and train for 3 hours every Saturday working on advanced stretches, conditioning and fitness as well as working on advanced choreography.

Please note company is not an open class, there are prerequisites to join.
