Dance Company

 

Buzz Dance Company was born out of a love for dance!

​

Buzz Dance Company have been offering dance and performing arts classes for over twenty years in the North East of England. Founded by Emma McGurrell, our core values are Happiness, Inclusivity, Community, Expertise, Positivity and Inspiration. From your little toddlers first parent and child 'Dance Stars' class, right through to your teenager leaving to enrol in a performing arts college, we believe that all of these values will prepare them for whatever life throws at them, making them confident and conscientious young people. Every dancer that attends Buzz will have these values instilled into them in a fun, structured and nurturing environment.

We follow the IDTA syllabus for all of our classes, working towards examinations, so that we can show how dancers develop their skills from one year to a next. We also work towards performances, because that is what dancers love to do. We have year end Christmas dance shows and big theatrical Shows to close our Summer season.

Over the years we have developed a proven track record of producing talented young dancers that have gone on to perform in West End Shows such as "Bat Out Of Hell", touring performances such as "Matilda" and enrolling on to Higher Education courses at performing arts schools throughout the UK.

We do understand that going on to dance at a higher level is not for everyone and that is fine too. No matter a dancers ability there will always be place for them in our classes as long as they are enjoying themselves and want to return every week.
